ACTA2是一种肌动蛋白,也被称为α-肌动蛋白、α-肌动蛋白-2、主动脉平滑肌或α平滑肌肌动蛋白(α-SMA)。肌动蛋白是一类球状多功能蛋白质,形成微丝结构。ACTA2是肌动蛋白的六种不同亚型之一,参与平滑肌的收缩过程。ACTA2(以及所有的actins)在哺乳动物中都被广泛发现,具有高度的保守性。
在人类中,ACTA2基因位于10q22-q24区域,编码ACTA2蛋白。ACTA2基因的突变被认为与多种血管疾病相关,例如胸主动脉疾病、冠状动脉疾病、中风、烟雾病和多系统平滑肌功能障碍综合征。因此,ACTA2(α-SMA)目前被认为是肌成纤维细胞的标志物。
